Craftsman Home No. 185

In 1914 Stickley’s Architectural Department adapted Craftsman Home No. 76 “for a family in Fresno, California.” The adaptation was much larger than the original design and included a billiard room on the second floor. Since a client spent money to have this house designed it is reasonable to assume that it was built, probably in 1915. The home is large enough that it may have been built on a ranch or farm outside the Fresno city borders. I am actively trying to locate this home, or determine if it was built and what happened to it. Below is the exterior illustration from the April 1914 The Craftsman, the floor plans and the descriptive article that accompanied the illustrations.
